ADHD Coaching is a collaboration between coach and client, working towards the client’s increased self-awareness, and movement toward their goals. It is action oriented. Coaches create a safe, supportive environment where clients can uncover their strengths, and feel empowered to discover solutions to challenges they are facing. ADHD coaching specifically addresses the struggles that clients may face due to the impact of ADHD on their lives, as well as how to utilize and exploit the positive aspects of ADHD.
Clients and coaches work together, exploring challenges and barriers, and brainstorming ways to overcome them, enabling the client to move their life forward in a new direction.
Coaching can also be helpful for those who live with and love ADHDers. The coach and client would work together to enable awareness of ADHD, strategies that can help their significant other, as well as addressing boundaries and challenges.
